The Rockies,
up close.

Small groups. Local guides. We take you to the spots in Banff National Park that people come here to see.

Our Experiences

Banff tours worth planning your trip around

Every tour runs with 14 guests or fewer. The stops are carefully chosen so you spend time at the places that matter most.

Why Horizon

Built for guests who want more than a quick photo stop

Small groups, with guides who live here, and access to places many visitors never reach.

Small Groups Only

Maximum 14 guests per tour. You move at the right pace, can ask questions along the way, and you are not standing around waiting for crowds to move.

Local Expert Guides

Our guides live in the Rockies year round. They know which viewpoints are worth stopping at, where wildlife tends to appear, and how to read the mountain weather before it shifts.

Beyond the Car Parks

Our itineraries go past the usual viewpoints and into places most standard tours skip. Quiet lakes, routes away from the busiest trails, and stops that take local knowledge to reach.

What our guests say

4.9 stars across hundreds of verified reviews on Google, GetYourGuide, and TripAdvisor.

"Canoeing on Two Jack Lake at sunrise was honestly the highlight of our entire Canadian road trip. Our guide knew exactly where to take us for the best views of Mount Rundle. Can't recommend this enough."

"We've done tour groups before and they always feel rushed. This was completely different. Small group, no rush, and our guide actually knew the ecology and history. Worth every penny."

"The three lake tour was absolutely the best way to see Banff. We hit Lake Louise before it got busy, canoed on a lake we never would have found on our own, and Moraine Lake was just stunning."

Frequently Asked Questions

Before you book

All tours depart from Banff and Canmore. Exact pickup details are located in the tour description.
We keep groups to a maximum of 14 guests. More personal attention, less waiting, and a significantly better experience than the large bus tours carrying 40 to 50 people.
Not at all. Our canoe experiences are designed for all skill levels. Your guide provides a full safety briefing and paddle with you. The water is calm and protected. Come expecting a relaxing morning, not a workout.
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before your tour start time. If we cancel due to weather (safety first), you'll receive a full refund or the option to reschedule at no additional cost.
Dress in layers. Mornings can be cool even in summer, and conditions change fast in the mountains. We recommend comfortable shoes, sunglasses, sunscreen, and a camera. For canoe tours, all paddling equipment and life jackets are provided.
